We are raising funds to provide 110% bursaries for students from disadvantaged backgrounds – covering tuition, boarding, uniform, travel, and other essential costs that ensure full participation in school life.

We are delighted to be working with Springboard – a charity that matches young people from less affluent backgrounds with independent boarding schools. This transformational experience fits with the charitable aims of the school, as well as helping us to retain breadth and diversity in the school which benefits the whole community. Our first SpringBoarder joined in September 2024. Your donation will help to extend this programme and change lives through a Bootham education.

Bootham Digital Microphone System
The contribution to school life from our Drama and Music departments continues to go from strength to strength. The number of school drama and music productions has increased alongside the range and complexity. We now need to upgrade our digital microphone system to match the excellence of our performers. We want to provide Sennheiser digital radio microphones which provide digital transmission, longer range and reception, better battery performance and future proofing as we can add more units if necessary. The new system is an industry standard which is cross compatible with additional systems we can hire.
